Getting started

On the phone: home screen, one-handed calendar, photos, connectivity

Updated 2026-09-16

1. Add it to your home screen

edapi is not in the app store — and does not need to be: the system is built for the phone browser and is added as an icon.

  • iPhone (Safari): open your admin page → the "Share" button (square with an arrow) → "Add to Home Screen" → "Add".
  • Android (Chrome): open the page → menu (three dots) → "Add to Home screen" (or "Install app") → "Add".

Opened from the icon, you stay signed in for 30 days from last use — no need to type the password every day.

2. Menu and navigation

On the phone the bottom bar has three main items (Home, Calendar, Clients); everything else is under "More". Account is at the top of the expanded menu, with your initial.

On a deep page (client card, newsletter) there is a back arrow at the top left and a quick public page preview on the right.

All buttons and list rows are sized for a finger (no smaller than 44 px) — no actions that only appear when hovering a mouse.

3. One-handed calendar

In the day view, visits and free slots are laid out vertically — scroll. Tapping a visit opens its sheet with actions (arrived, reschedule, cancel, write to the client); "+" creates a new booking.

"Mark times" — a mode for closing or opening slots with taps, without dialogs; changes are saved immediately. In a multi-specialist salon switch to a single specialist view — the slots are bigger.

Changes a colleague made on the computer in the meantime appear after refreshing the page (switching the day or reloading). Two people cannot book the same time at once — the system prevents overlaps.

4. Photos from the phone

"Page" → gallery → "Upload": pick several photos at once from the gallery or take one on the spot (JPG, PNG, WebP up to 10 MB). Each shows its upload progress; a failed one can be retried without re-uploading the rest.

The system shrinks photos itself and prepares several sizes — photos straight from the camera (5–8 MB each) are fine, no need to shrink them first.

5. When the connection drops

Without internet the system does not work — there is no "offline mode": calendar changes and bookings are saved only with a connection. If the connection drops mid-action you will see an error with an explanation — repeat once the connection is back.

You lose nothing: everything is stored on the server, not on the phone. If you lose or change your phone, simply sign in again; sign out the old device under "Account → Signed-in devices".

Whether the problem is your connection or the system — see the status page edapi.io/busena (it can be opened over mobile data too).
